Welcome!

My name is Rev. Catherine O’Connor and I am a OneSpirit interfaith Minister specializing in family and funeral ceremonies and spiritual counselling.
Growing up in Dublin as part of a large family, ceremony and life events played an important role in my life. I first became interested in becoming a celebrant back in 2000 when I was finishing college and saw a job advertisement for a celebrant. It is here the seed was planted. Feeling I did not have enough ‘life experience’ to take on such a role I continued with my course work and went into a career in banking.
However, hidden in the back of my mind was my love of ceremony. So after leaving the banking sector, I completed the certificate in family celebrant with the IIOC in 2017 and then went on to complete a Funeral celebrant course in 2019 finally being awarded a Diploma in Celebrancy through the IIOC (Irish Institute of Celebrants).  In July of 2022 I completed a two-year interfaith ministry course with OneSpirit interfaith Organisation. This helped me continue my passion of connecting with people and my community through ceremony and my volunteer work.
I got married to Niall in 2006 and we have loud crazy family life with three young sons.
I absolutely love being a minister and am passionate about delivering bespoke unique personal ceremonies for every occasion.
I am based in Dublin but can travel nationwide.
